I shared the poem, i carry your heart by e. e. cummings with you a few posts ago, and now I am back to share a photo update of how the project is coming. I decided to express the poem as a card with movable panels and parts. The project is complete now and I'll be posting the final photos soon!
The photos below show the card, which was designed in one piece, unfolded, and partially folded.

Winsor & Newton Calligraphy
Check out this vintage Winsor & Newton calligraphy packaging. The cute little illustrations are my favorite part. I'm looking forward to breaking out my pens again (it's been more than a year) and trying these fun colors out. I'm especially wanting to dip into the metallic silver!

i carry your heart with me
Inspiration for my next project: Motion Typography
i carry your heart with me by e. e. cummings
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Lemon Meringue + Campfire
Last weekend I was camping with a few friends and they shared this fabulous recipe for Lemon Meringue Pies that can be made over an open flame. So if you're all s'mored out this fall, give these gems a try. They're super easy and beyond tasty! All you need are marshmallows, lemon pie filling (canned works great) and frozen crescent rolls. You will also want to pick up a pie iron.
Fill the pie iron with dough
Add lemon and marshmallows to fill up the pie
Toast and enjoy!

Calista
Here is a sneak peek of a brand new typeface designed by... me!
This face is based on a hand lettered sketch I drew for my niece Calista Celine. It has a sunny, casual quality that would be great for display typesetting. The entire face is still in progress (so far I have 26 lowercase letter forms completed). Hope to have more coming soon!
